Peyton's entire world has been turned on a dime. She suddenly learns the abusive jerk she'd believed to be her father is in fact her uncle. After years of physical and mental abuse, and barely scraping by... her mother yanks her from her life, her friends and her dance to move to a new town. Not just any town either, but the one her mother, sperm donor and uncle all grew up in....and SURPRISE!!!! Turns out not only does daddy dearest have another family, but she has a grandfather and more "family" and they're filthy stinking rich. All these years of abuse and fighting to survive in every sense of the word and her father had money and a family on the hill. Dance had been the one thing in her life to give her hope. Hope of a future... Hope of survival. With one summons from her grandfather requesting her uncle appear, and her entire world is upended with no notice. Her first day in town and the people turned white as ghosts upon seeing her and call her a name.... just not her name. Who the blazes is Ava and why did everyone all but faint upon seeing her? The only bright spot is the fact this town appears to grow hot guys like crazy. She's already bumped into two....wonder what else might be in store. Peyton' s never had it easy, and something inside tells her this will be more of the same and then some. Boy is she right! Be warned, this is extremely addictive right of the bat. You'll end up desperate for book two right away , and it doesn't even exist yet (not at the time of writing this). There are also major triggers with abuse, suicide, neglect, etc... Yet at the center is this brilliant, fierce, loving firecracker of a young lady that you will cheer for from page one!! It will quickly become one of your new favorites and leave you wanting more. An old mystery, New friends, suspense, action, romance, a little comedy, and family dramas all footed into one. What more can you ask for! I say run, don't walk to get your own copy... ENJOY!💗😊

I'll start off by saying that it always, always annoys me when I read stories where a million and a half men are on the female protagonist's side and every other female character in the book is atrocious. If you're like me, you may want to shy away from this book because that is exactly what happens in this story. How about we get some stories where the woman can still get with ten guys, but also has support from a few women. Literally the only people who help our protagonist are men. Zero women. Zero. Dear author, this is instilling the fact that no woman can be trusted... which is untrue.Okay now that I got that out of my system, on to the actual story/characters. Despite my large annoyance with the male/female ratio, I was intrigued by the plot. I truly hate Peyton's whole family. Her mother is horrible and deserves to lose her child for allowing Sean to abuse her so much. She doesn't deserve to be a mother. Mothers and fathers protect their children, not allow them to be abused day in and day out. If the author tries to redeem the mother at all, I'm going to blow a gasket. The men are all adorable and do have generally unique personalities. I'm a little surprised how talkative Crew is which I think is a mistake on the part of the author. Every character kept commenting how quiet/reserved Crew is and yet he immediately was drawn to Peyton's flame and talked nonstop. Other than that, they all amuse me. Lochlan is an idiot for sticking with Selena after what happens, but I guess some people are just stupid.I'm curious to find out who's been stalking Peyton and what happened to Ava. I'm guessing these two things are tightly coupled. I hope the author proofreads her stories more thoroughly in the future because there were several glaring spelling mistakes, leftover words, and general grammatical issues. Overall, not a bad first installment.Grammar: 3/5Plot: 4/5Characters: 4/5Spoiler for future books (maybe)****. I'm pretty sure the principal killed Ava when she was a kid which is why he's acting so weird around Peyton. Also, I have a strong suspicion something happened to Peyton's mom.

I can't even process how much I loved this book. The characters felt real. The sense of place was solid. The story emotional and well written. During the time it took me to read the book I lived and breathed with Peyton. This is definitely one of the best examples of a contemporary reverse harem romance I have read, even if I did wish it were less YA and more adult! *laughs* But even without the sexytimes, the heat was felt, and better even than that - the emotions were there. And that's how I fall in love with a book. I cannot wait for book 2, and hope to read it sooner rather than later!

I have a book hangover. Seriously. I need more.I've read hundreds of books and I've only experienced this a few times, this story made me cry multiple times. I felt this story to my core. We follow a young girl through her messy family situation. She struggles with anger at her mother, betrayal from her bestfriends, loneliness and depression. After her mother moving her to a small town where everyone knows everyones business, she finds herself befriending a small group of boys. They take her under their wing, where her relationship grows with all 6 of them. It does get a bit steamy 😍 and there are some emotional triggers but this story is a MUST read. I couldn't put it down. I absolutely need more of this family.

This was a fantastic read, I loved the FMC, she was sassy, feisty strong & compassionate. She breathed life back into the guys & showed them not all was lost. After the chaos over her family, the hatred, rumors & harassment she had to deal with, is it a Wonder she was feeling low. Can't wait for the next one

I fell in love with Peyton , Moo , and Clay ! I read this in one sitting , and I really want to read it again soon . Just to be sure that I didn't miss anything . And FYI , I am addicted to the Gifted series as well ! Book 5 can't get here soon enough for me !! Wish there were more stars . This author is fantastic !!

Gah.....this book was amazeballs. I laughed and cried. I love Peyton's spirit and the dancing. There is just so much in this story and so much more i want to know. I be patiently waiting for more....
